Branding & Commercial Design for Channel 5 News

For this project, I was tasked with creating a logo and a short commercial-style video for Channel 5 News, a fictional news agency featuring an imaginary reporter, Roger Ricketts.
With full creative freedom, I stepped outside my usual design comfort zone to develop a professional yet understated logo, ensuring it remained memorable without overshadowing the news itself. Drawing inspiration from the late ’90s and early 2000s TV news aesthetics, I carefully selected a font and style that reflected the familiar look of broadcasts from that era.
For the commercial, I worked with a provided clip of Roger Ricketts speaking, alongside a selection of potential news story clips. I thoughtfully curated key visuals and blended them with the logo branding, crafting a polished, branded feature that highlights Roger as the face of Channel 5 News.
